Zac was still riding the high of his last Safari Zone. Now he had five Minior! Only three more and I can finally whip out my secret technique. With a blinding grin and a bag full of Safari Balls (4), Zac strode off into the tall grass.

The night air was chill and crisp, and it had begun to settle on the grass is sparkling beads that would sit until morning. Zac pushed through the high waves of foliage, watching the sky for signs.
There! Zac pointed into the dark. A chunk of the sky was moving, dropping towards him like a circle of the cosmos. What is it? He wondered, moving faster through the grass, following the thing's descent. It's not a Minior. There's no light! Like an intergalactic footballer, Zac positioned himself under the falling star-scape. It thudded against his chest, knocking the wind from him for a startling moment. It was an orb, sure enough, and it rotated in his arms to reveal a simple, smiling face. "A...black Minior?"
There were pieces of the galaxy floating in its translucent body. Chunks of distant white and swirling shards of aliens color, as if it had brought souvenirs of its travels through the void. Zac brought it closer, and he realized that it was letting off black light. "Amazing. Gorgeous. What a little treasure!" He said, grinning in the night. The Minior spun happily. It was probably lonely from the long trip. "Don't worry buddy, you've got a big family waiting for you."

Zac was too enthralled by his black Minior to notice the fuzzy hat that slink through the grass. The gym leader had eyes only for the glorious dark star that had fallen right into his arms. It was beautiful, magnificent, a piece of the night sky made solid. It looked like a star map that someone had balled up. A globe of the galaxy. And were it not for the happy face and the shifting, faded pieces of color, Zac might have believed that it was just some fancy piece of tech wizardry.
What name fits such a glorious creature? Zac wondered, as he ran his hands across the smooth, shifting surface of the Minior. It felt like a bowling ball coated in cool water, and his fingers dipped ever so slightly into the light. "How about John?"

A glorpy pink slug writhed over Zac's foot, and this time he couldn't ignore it. "Bleugh! You're a slimy little bugger aren't you?" he asked, as the Shellos looked up at him with wide, wet eyes. "How could I say no to that face though?" Zac said, putting the sea slug in his bag.

There are usually 6 eggs in a carton, but one Happiny was more than enough for Zac. "Sorry mate, but I've got quotas to hit. I can't just be giving a ride to everyone," he said, bag shifting as the sticky, slimy Shellos moved around inside. "Here's a little bit of food though, for the road." He reached into his bag, pushed the Shellos to the side, and pulled out a packed of vanilla cookies. He offered one testingly to the little orb. Happiny snatched it up and stuffed the treat into her mouth. "Theeeere we go! Have one more, just in case." Zac handed another cookie to the Pokemon, who held it between both of her stubby hands as she waddled off into the grass.

The grass to Zac's left swayed and shook, in a rhythmic way. He glanced over, confused. What Pokemon could that be? The grass parted, and out danced a little pink bird, complete with grass skirt and headband. "A little 'cori!" Zac said, stepping back in excitement. "There used to be a whole field of these near Nana's house. I've gotta get one." Moving slowly so as not to scare the little bird, Zac tossed his last Safari Ball at it, and it disappeared inside with a little swish of swaying grass.
